About Little Adventures
Little Adventures are start-to-finish illustration courses designed to be doable, repeatable, and full of small wins. Every adventure follows four simple steps — study, prepare, practice, and imagine — that make creating feel manageable and fun. You'll study your inspiration, prepare your supplies, practice with project breakdowns, and then imagine your finished illustration into something wonderfully your own. It's how I work in my own studio, one small steady step at a time.
Imagine the Possibilities
A creative table is already a kind of still life — brushes lined up beside a palette, color tabs arranged in a cheerful rainbow row, watercolor tubes tucked in together, a ruler crossing a stack of taped-down paper. In Danielleish, that everyday gathering becomes the subject of a bird's-eye illustration full of color, pattern, and quiet personality. You'll sketch simple shapes, layer soft washes, and build a composition straight from the tools of your own creative life — 13 lessons guiding you from first inspiration to finished painting, one small steady step at a time.
Unlock a New Skill
With a background in graphic design and fine art, I create illustrations that tell hidden stories. What sets Danielleish apart is the skill of bird's-eye composition — learning to look straight down at everyday objects and see them as pure shape, arrangement, and color. You'll practice translating familiar tools like brushes, palettes, and watercolor tubes into simple, readable forms, then arrange them into a flat-lay scene with believable scale and intentional balance. Along the way, you'll learn how to anchor a composition, fill space without overcrowding it, and let soft watercolor shadows settle each object into its spot — turning a tabletop of supplies into an illustration full of detailed line-work and a soft rainbow of layered color.
Build Your Craft
Every object on your studio table has a shape worth studying — the long handle of a brush, the satisfying rectangle of taped-down paper, the tiny jewel of a watercolor pan. In Danielleish, you'll slow down and really look, practicing each tool individually before building them into a full composition. Step-by-step video instruction moves alongside DIY breakdown practice, so you're always working with both guidance and independence. You'll study color, composition, and the small decisions that make an illustration feel connected — then reverse-engineer finished examples to understand how everything fits together before making it your own. This layered approach, moving from single objects to full arrangements, builds the kind of observational eye and compositional confidence creating a depth that shorter classes simply can't match.
